Everest Three pass trek is enthralling cultural and rich legacy of Nepal’s. It has a conspiratorial history. It is within the border of exotic Khumbu Region. This is high altitude hiking. For this, you need to have a good shape for the arduous trek as you have to blitz 3 formidable passes i.e. Cho la pass, Renjo La Pass, and Kongma La pass. Actually, this route is used by expeditionary group’s way to the summit of Mt. Everest. It a venture of immense appeal and you can experience the tree lines hiking. The stark scenery in the sublime wilderness is displayed in front of you. It blends so well in agreement of mammoth peaks. It is encompassed by the naturalness of supreme Mother Nature. There are several ways of doing this trek. It can be operated clockwise or anti-clockwise.
We start our Everest Three pass trek with sky flight to Lukla. It is the main gateway of the entire Everest region. From here we follow our trekking trail. At first, we cross Kongla ma pass and then we hike to Everest base camp and Kalapatthar viewpoint. Finishing this we walk to cross Cho La pass. Finally, we will cross our last Renjo La pass. It will be quite tough crossing this entire pass together. It touches maximum trekking destination of Everest Region. So we need to have experience of trekking before doing this trek. Completing this we will be lastly at Lukla. From here we take early morning mountain flight to Kathmandu. This will give a good touch to end our trek.

Details Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu Airport (1360m)
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representatives from Everest Trekking Routes will welcome you. He/she will asset you and transfer you to the hotel for your overnight.
Day 2: Kathmandu Cultural Tour
Today, you will do a day tour in Kathmandu valley. In morning time you will visit Pashupatinath (oldest and holy Hindu temple), Bauddhanath (Buddhist temple is known as little Tibet), and Swayambhunath (monkey temple). Finishing this we return for lunch. After lunch, you will visit Kathmandu durbar square and Patan Durbar square. In Kathmandu durbar square you will visit Kumari temple (temple of the living goddess).
Day 3: Flight to Lukla (2840m) and trek to Phakding(2,652m) - 4 Hrs Trek
Early morning we begin our Everest three high pass trek with an exciting morning flight to Lukla. It will offer us pleasures view of snowy mountain peaks during our flight. Within 35 to 40 minutes we land on Lukla, pack our baggage start walking to Phakding. We walk through Sherpa Settlements Cheplung, Thado Koshi, and Ghat. Here we get an incredible glimpse of east part of Thamserku peak and Khumbila peak. Viewing all this we reach Phakding for our night.
Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) - 6 Hrs Trek
Having tiredness with the first-day walk we continue our walk in the cool morning through Benkar, Chumoa, Monjo villages. We pass through pine forest aside the Dudhkoshi River valley. In today’s walk, we leave last village Jorsale and take final steep to Namche Bazaar. This is the main gateway and luxury town in Everest region. Here we stay an extra night for acclimatization.
Day 5: Acclimatization Day
Today we walk around whole Namche valley. At first, we visit the museum and headquarters of the national park and have a good overview of Mount Everest including Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam, Konde, Kongregate and other ranges. Having lunch we also hike around 400 m to Everest View hotel. From here we get the best viewpoint. We enjoy all this with tea and some cookies. Lastly, we return back to Namche Bazaar for our night.
Day 6: Trek to Tengboche (3,860m) - 6 Hrs Trek
With a good rest, we gradually pass around National Park Headquarter. It is just above the ridges over Dudhkoshi Valley. We also pass Kyanjuma gradually downhill at riverside spot Phunki. Then we climb to Monastery land Tengboche. It is blessed around the panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Thamserku, Amadablam, Nuptse-Lhotse ranges and snow peak Himalayas. In around 3 o'clock we visit a monastery for Buddhist religious ceremony.
Day 7: Trek to Dingboche (4,360m) - 6 Hrs Trek
Continuing from the monastery we slowly descend through a forest of rhododendrons, confer and lush of birch. We get fantastic admired views of Lhotse, Amadablam, and Everest to Imja valley. We cross Imja Khola and take upper Pangboche village. From here we get closet Himalayan Vista views. Then we ascend Somare and take a short tea break and continue to Dingboche valley. To reach here we need to cross Lobuje River to Imja river valley. This settlement is the last Sherpa settlement of picturesque village.
Day 8: Trek Chhukung (4,750m) - 4 Hrs Trek
After breakfast, we hike to Chhukung. We walk through Imja Khola valley, sublime alpine landscapes, and few stone walled fields. In the walking period we have spectacular mountain views of Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam and Island Peak. The shape of Imja Tse is like a pyramid. Chhukung is a great place for exploring glacier and massive snow-laden mountain. Our night will be here at checking.
Day 9: a day for Rest
It’s again time to rest for matching our self with the weather as we need to move ahead. We do a day trip to Nagarjuna hillock (located on the glands of the Chhukung valley directly above Dingboche) after breakfast. It may take around 5 hrs to reach. From here we get good views of Lobuche east and west, Lobuche peak, Thamserku, Kangtega, Amadablam and world’s fifth highest mountain. Keeping a good memory we descend back to Chhukung.
Day 10: Trek to Lobuche (4,940m) via Kongma La Pass (5,535m) - 7 Hrs Trek
Today we will cross Kongma la highest pass. Carrying plenty of water, some snacks and a packed lunch we walk to Lobuche. We can climb over hill northwest of Chhukung over moraine of Nuptse Glacier or back down the valley to trekking and follow a trail above the Niyang Khola. Walking some time we get great views of jagged ridge of Amphu Lapcha and Islpeak-valleylley. We then ascendthe to east side of Niyang Khola valley. The trail rises gaining the Kongma La in around 5 hours after leaving Chhukung. On reaching the top, we seen cairn wrapped in prayer flags, marks of the pass. The landscape of icy lakes is just behind us and ahead down to Khumbu Glacier. The final descent is the toughest stage of the trek today. In this way, we reach Lobuche for our night.
Day 11: Trek to Everest Base camp (5,364) – Gorakshep (5,170m) - 9 Hrs Trek
The trail is not hard but we need to long day up/down on a glacier rock path. Eating something we continue to Everest base camp. We follow Khumbu glacier and Khumbu icefall on touching distance. We feel tired after just close to Everest base camp. From the base camp, we get stunning beautiful amazing views of the west ridge of Everest, Nuptse, Kbumbutse and Pumori. After a few minutes we can enjoy the views with some snicker bars. We take some beautiful shots on camera and take backwards to Gorakshep for overnight.
Day 12: Trek to Lobuche (4,940m) via Kalapathar (5,545m) - 9 Hrs Trek
Waking up the early morning we climb to Kala Pathar. It is our final destination. As soon as light get outside on cold temperature, we continue ascent after having a hot cup of tea or coffee. It takes around two/three hours to reach the top and backwards 40 minutes. It depends upon physical condition. Kala Pathar is one of the best view points to overview Mt Everest. We can also see south cool between Lhotse and Everest. It will be unleashed dream trip and became reality after achieving your goal. Finishing this we trek down to Lobuche for our night.
Day 13: Trek to Dzongla (4,830m) - 4 Hrs Trek
Our today’s trek is very short in comparison of previous days. We walk through a fork and curving round to wide gravelly river bed. It flows to southwest ward trail runs across it and climbs the ridge ahead. Pheriche village is also visible down in the distance. We can observe the vast Chola Lake spreads below Mt. Cholatse. These localities unknowingly lead us to Dzongla for our night.
Day 14: Trek to Gokyo (4,800m) via Cho la pass (5,368m) - 8 Hrs Trek
After breakfast, we are wonderfully welcomed with the gripping sight of Cholatse looming over the mighty display. It’s going to be a toughest days of our trip as we need to cross Cho la pass. We start in the early morning. The pass is not difficult in itself, but it is steep and involves a glacier traverse on east part. In a very careful way we need to cross it. We get awesome views of Amadablam over mountain ranges on the south with Cholatseon on the west and Lobuche East and Baruntsecan from the top with prayer flags, strung across cairns and flapping in the strong wind. Resting some moment we continue short distance away to Gokyo Lake for the night.
Day 15: a day for some well earned rest
Crossing cho la pass it’s time to rest for the whole day. We need to keep stamina for the next day as we have to cross final renji la pass. Today we grasp the opportunity to observe Thonak Tsho (the Fourth Lake) & Ngozuma Tsho (the Fifth Lake). Interested one can climb on a hill at the edge of the lakes. From the top, you get astounding views of Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Gyachung, Makalu and Nuptse. In this way, we spend our whole day.
Day 16: Trek to Marlung (4,210m) via Renjo La (5,360m) - 8 Hrs Trek
Making a good stamina we will start our trek in the early morning. We need to walk whole day as we are crossing Renjo La pass. We don’t have an option to Marlung. Down from Gokyo Valley, we leave the main path and turn to Renjo La through Dudh Pokhari trial. Walking around 3 hours, we gain Renjo La and obtain amazing vista. We can view the Everest, Lhotse, Cholatse and Taboche gleaming in the sun. Resuming through the pass, we get the wind trail down a stone staircase. Without stopping we walk up to Marlung (east bank of Bhote Koshi) for the night.
Day 17: Trek to Namche Bazar (3600m) - 6 Hrs Trek
We have finished our all destinations. We will feel more pleasure in the knee. We need to do more downhill trials. Crossing Dudh koshi river bank we continue our walk to Namche Bazaar. Reaching on Namche bazaar we talk about the good memory of the successful trip. Our legs and knees could be sore after a long descend walk.
Day 18: Trek to Lukla - 8 Hrs Trek
It’s our last walk in the land of Himalaya. We will have breakfast and continue downhill to Lukla. We cross several suspension bridges and monasteries. We will feel very sore on legs and knees after descending around to Lukla 2800m. Reaching on Lukla we make confirmation of our flight, take a hot shower and start final trek celebration.
Day 19: Fly Back to Kathmandu
We will take an early morning flight to Kathmandu. It will take about 35 to 40 minutes. We can enjoy the beautiful scenery of surrounding from the plane. Reaching on Kathmandu, you can do last minute shopping in Kathmandu. At night we celebrate Farewell Dinner together with the trekking team.
Day 20: Kathmandu Departure for home sweet home
Now it’s time to say good bye to the Kathmandu. Your journey in Nepal comes to an end today. You are transferred to the airport for your returning flight. Have a safe journey. Hope you will return back to Nepal again.
